Paul began playing music at the age of nine by learning the violin and getting honours in all of hisgrades. This led him to play keyboards/piano at the age of 10, understanding music by listening to a song on the radio and then copying it by ear. From there he found it was a great way to release his feelings and thoughts about things.
All the songs on this album are heartfelt and share his outlook on life. He’s a big believer in positivity - complaining or feeling sorry for oneself won’t change anything - if anything it makes it even worse. He appreciates his ability and his disability is only a part of him.
He never really thought of himself as a songwriter until his mother died when he was 16. This sparked his writing process and within a year while at his keyboard he stumbled across chords and words that became a fitting tribute to her, this became the song from the album ‘Without You ’.
